Ferrite Magnets

Cost-effective, corrosion-resistant ceramic magnets

Ferrite Magnets

Economical permanent magnets that withstand heat and humidity without any coating. Available as rings, blocks and discs.

What is a ferrite magnet?

Ferrite magnets (also known as ceramic magnets) are permanent magnets produced by sintering iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) with strontium or barium carbonate at high temperatures. Since the 1950s they have been among the most widely used magnets in industry and everyday life.

Although their magnetic strength is lower than that of neodymium magnets, they are far more resistant to heat, humidity and oxidation. They require no coating and are inexpensive, which makes them the ideal choice for high-volume projects and outdoor applications.

Heat resistant

Operating temperatures of up to approximately 250 °C.

Corrosion resistant

Can be used uncoated in humid and outdoor environments.

Economical

Low cost, well suited to large production volumes.

Stable

Retains its magnetic properties for many years.

Applications

  • Loudspeakers and audio systems
  • Electric motors and generators
  • Magnetic holders, belt and drum magnets
  • Refrigerator door seals and household appliances
  • Educational kits, craft projects and toys

Shapes

Ferrite magnets are usually produced as rings, blocks and discs. Because ferrite is pressed in moulds, standard sizes are available quickly; for custom dimensions, let us evaluate your requirements together.

Where very high magnetic force is not required but long service life and durability are key, ferrite magnets are the smartest solution.
